Mingachevir State University hosted the “Equal Employment and Career Opportunities” startup marathon aimed at promoting equal opportunities in the labor market, fostering an inclusive career environment, and developing youth skills in creating innovative solutions in this area. The event was jointly organized by the Internship and Career Department and the IT Department.
Within the marathon, participants analyzed existing inequalities in the labor market—such as unequal approaches in recruitment processes, disparities in access to opportunities, and social and economic barriers—and developed innovative projects aimed at addressing these challenges. Teams presented inclusive recruitment platforms, skill-based assessment systems, digital tools supporting career development, and technological solutions providing equal opportunities for various social groups.
The main goal of the startup marathon was to encourage participants to approach social challenges through the lens of technology and innovation and to create projects capable of making a real impact. Participants developed comprehensive solutions considering social justice principles, economic efficiency, and practical implementation potential.
During the event, participants worked intensively in teams, quickly transforming their ideas into functional startup concepts. This process significantly enhanced their analytical thinking, creative approaches, and innovative perspectives for solving social problems.
In the final stage, teams presented their projects to the jury. Projects were evaluated based on innovation, contribution to inclusivity, alignment with labor market needs, and implementation potential. The most successful projects were highlighted, and participants received practical recommendations for further development.
The “Equal Employment and Career Opportunities” startup marathon was recognized as an important initiative that increased students’ social responsibility, encouraged the creation of innovative solutions promoting equal opportunities in the labor market, and contributed to the development of an inclusive innovation environment at the university.
