On March 4, 2026, a training session on “Digital Skills and Computer Literacy” was held at the Mingachevir Youth House, organized by the Department of Information Technologies of Mingachevir State University (MDU).
The training was conducted within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to Goal 1 – No Poverty, and aimed at supporting the development of participants’ digital skills.
Speaking at the event, moderator Maryam Asadova emphasized that in the modern era, the development of digital skills enhances individuals’ competitiveness in the labor market, creates new employment opportunities, and facilitates their integration into the digital society.
Within the training program, presentations were delivered on the following topics:
- “MS Office Programs in the Development of Digital Skills” – Saadat Aslanova (Lecturer, Department of Information Technologies, MDU)
- “Hardware, Software and Brainware Skills” – Elgiz Mahmudov (Lecturer, Department of Information Technologies, MDU)
- “Digital Technologies: Effective Use of AI and Web Platforms in Education” – Gulay Bahramova and Maleyka Heydarova (Lecturers, Department of Information Technologies, MDU)
- “Digital Readiness for Freelance and Remote Work” – Aziz Amiraslanov (Staff member, MDU)
The presentations covered a wide range of relevant topics, including improving digital literacy, developing skills in modern software tools, the application of artificial intelligence and web platforms in education, as well as preparation for remote and freelance work opportunities.
The main objective of the training was to support participants’ personal and professional development by enhancing their digital competencies.
