On April 2, 2026, Mingachevir State University hosted the startup competition “Clean Energy and Youth Social Solutions” at the Faculty of Engineering. The event was organized jointly by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies and the Department of Energy, and was dedicated to SDG 7 – “Affordable and Clean Energy.”
The main objective of the competition was to promote innovative ideas in the field of clean energy, encourage the development of socially oriented technological solutions, and enhance students’ engagement in the startup ecosystem.
A total of four teams participated in the competition, presenting projects focused on the efficient use of alternative energy sources, optimization of energy resources, and innovative approaches to addressing social challenges.

Following the presentations, the results were determined based on the scores given by the expert panel:
- 1st place – Team “Aizerbaijan” (30 points)
- 2nd place – Team “Urban Mind” (29 points)
- 3rd place – Teams “ARC-M Energy” and “MduTech” (25 points)
The competition was evaluated by experts including Nermin Ahmadova, Shabnam Nasirova, and Aysu Suleymanli from the Department of Information Technologies, as well as Mahammad Shoyubov from the Department of Energy.
It should be noted that such initiatives contribute to the development of students’ innovative thinking and technological creativity, foster new ideas in the field of clean energy, and support projects aligned with sustainable development goals.
