On June 25, 2026, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Mingachevir State University and “TÜV Austria Azerbaijan” Limited Liability Company.
The Memorandum was signed by Natavan Namazova, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of Mingachevir State University, and Ulkar Guliyeva, Director of “TÜV Austria Azerbaijan” LLC.
The signed document is of particular importance as a continuation of MSU’s activities aimed at strengthening governance in line with international standards, quality assurance, sustainable development, the green campus approach, and expanding practical education opportunities.
According to the Memorandum, the parties plan to cooperate in the organization of training and professional development programs, certification services, exchange of knowledge and experience in inspection and technical assessment, as well as the implementation of joint initiatives in the fields of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Within the framework of the cooperation, “TÜV Austria Azerbaijan” is expected to organize training sessions for MSU students and academic staff in accordance with international standards, conduct joint seminars, conferences and master classes, and develop and implement professional certification programs. At the same time, the evaluation of the university’s internal governance and education systems in line with international standards, as well as the provision of methodological and technical support in the certification process according to relevant ISO standards, are among the key areas of cooperation.
The Memorandum is also of special significance in terms of expanding MSU’s activities in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, promoting “green thinking” within the university environment, and strengthening the principles of energy efficiency, efficient use of resources, environmental responsibility and sustainable governance. This cooperation will contribute to the university’s goals related to green campus development, environmental awareness, innovative governance and sustainable development in the spirit of “GreenMetric”.
According to the document, the parties will cooperate in implementing joint projects in the fields of environmental protection, sustainable development, energy efficiency and resource optimization, as well as in promoting scientific research aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
