Students of Mingachevir State University have commenced their studies for the spring semester at reputable higher education institutions in the Republic of Türkiye and the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of an international exchange program. Currently, the students are actively attending classes at their host universities, engaging in the academic process, and successfully integrating into their new academic environments.
Within the exchange program, Vüsalə Əliyeva is studying at Istanbul Commerce University in Istanbul, Türkiye; Nazrin İbrahimova, Şəms İbrahimova, Mələk Yusibova, Gültac Xəlilli, and Leyla Əliyeva are studying at Fırat University in Elazığ; Yusif Ələkbərov and Fidan Məmmədli are continuing their education at Ege University in İzmir; Sərxan İsmayılov is studying at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University in Karaman; and Nurlana Mahmudova is pursuing her studies at Karaganda Buketov University located in Karaganda, Republic of Kazakhstan.
These exchange opportunities are implemented within the framework of the Orhun Exchange Program and serve to strengthen cooperation in higher education among Turkic states, expand academic mobility, and develop a common scientific and educational platform. Through the program, students gain international experience, become acquainted with diverse education models, and enhance their professional competencies.
International mobility initiatives play a significant role in expanding access to higher education, improving academic quality, and strengthening strategic inter-university partnerships. Mingachevir State University consistently implements policies in this direction, placing particular emphasis on preparing its students to become competitive specialists in the global academic environment.
It should be noted that increasing participation in international exchange programs and facilitating students’ integration into the global academic environment have been identified as priority directions within the university’s strategic development agenda. This process is being carried out in accordance with the University Development Strategy for 2026–2030.
