Preparations Near Completion for the “MSU First Green Sports Festival” at Mingachevir State University

Preparations for the “MSU First Green Sports Festival” to be held at Mingachevir State University (MSU) are nearing completion. Today, the university administration and the organizing committee inspected the main venues designated for the festival activities.

During the inspection, special attention was given to the marathon, cycling, volleyball, and swimming venues. Preparations at these locations were reviewed in detail, while safety measures, logistics, participant flow management, infrastructure readiness, and technical support systems were thoroughly assessed.

It was noted that the “MSU First Green Sports Festival” is considered one of the region’s largest green sports initiatives organized within the framework of environmental sustainability, healthy lifestyle promotion, and the university’s green campus strategy. The festival aims to integrate sports, environmental awareness, and public engagement in line with the principles of sustainable development.

The festival program will include various sports competitions, outdoor activities, and environmental awareness initiatives. The main objective of the event is to promote healthy lifestyles among young people, strengthen environmental awareness, and encourage green living values.

According to the organizing committee, more than 3,000 participants are expected to attend the event. Winners of the competitions will be awarded medals, trophies, and special certificates.

University representatives emphasized that the festival will serve as an important platform for promoting healthy living, increasing environmental responsibility, and supporting green university initiatives among students, young people, and the wider community.
