On March 13, 2026, a scientific seminar dedicated to Science Day within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” was held at Mingachevir State University, organized by the Scientific Research and Innovation Department.

The seminar was attended by the university’s academic staff, heads of various structural divisions, doctoral students, dissertation candidates, and young lecturers.

At the opening of the seminar, Head of the Scientific Research and Innovation Department Ramil Hasanov spoke about the significance of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture,” as well as the important role of Science Day in the development of scientific activity in the country. He emphasized the importance of encouraging young researchers to engage in scientific activities, developing their research skills, and strengthening the scientific environment at the university.

Afterwards, Associate Professor Jeyhun Mahmudov, Advisor to the Rector on the Organization and Management of the Educational Process at Mingachevir State University, delivered a speech on the fundamental role of science and education in the development of society and highlighted the importance of strengthening scientific research activities at universities.

In accordance with the seminar program, presentations by nine young doctoral students, dissertation candidates, and lecturers representing various scientific fields were heard. Extensive discussions were held around the presented topics, exchanges of views took place, and a number of proposals were put forward.

It should be noted that Mingachevir State University regularly organizes various scientific events aimed at supporting the scientific activities of doctoral students, dissertation candidates, and young researchers, developing their research potential, and strengthening the scientific environment at the university.
