Strengthening a Healthy Lifestyle Strategy at Mingachevir State University: New Partnerships and Strategic Plan to Enhance Physical Well-being of Staff and Students

Mingachevir State University has launched a preparatory phase aimed at implementing systematic measures to protect the physical health of its staff and students and to promote a healthy lifestyle. The university leadership has identified this direction as a key priority and has taken relevant institutional steps accordingly. Based on conducted analyses and initial discussions, expanding cooperation with healthcare institutions has emerged as a strategic necessity.

Within this framework, cooperation opportunities with Mingachevir Regional Hospital and Referans Clinic have been discussed, and preliminary agreements have been reached. During the meetings, improving access to medical services for staff and students, organizing preventive medical examinations, and enhancing the quality of healthcare services were defined as key priority areas. Representatives of the university, along with management and medical staff from the respective healthcare institutions, participated in the discussions.

As part of the negotiations, the possibility of providing a 20 percent discount on medical services at these clinics for all university staff has been considered, and efforts toward formalizing this arrangement are ongoing. Additionally, organizational aspects related to conducting comprehensive full check-up examinations for 50 university employees at both clinics during the initial phase have been discussed.

At the same time, a dedicated Strategic Plan has been approved to enhance the physical health capabilities of university staff, promote a healthy lifestyle, and strengthen social well-being. This strategic document outlines the organization of preventive medical examinations, implementation of health awareness initiatives, and ensuring sustainable and inclusive access to healthcare services for employees.

During the preparatory phase, detailed analyses have been conducted regarding the content, scope, and implementation mechanisms of medical service packages. The planned measures are of significant importance in terms of early diagnosis, disease prevention, and the overall improvement of health indicators. These initiatives reflect a holistic and forward-looking approach to fostering a healthy university environment and promoting long-term well-being within the academic community.

The preparatory work carried out creates a solid foundation for the implementation of large-scale health programs at Mingachevir State University. It should be noted that initiatives aimed at protecting and improving the physical health of staff and students will continue to be consistently expanded in the future.
