On November 4–5, 2025, a Mingachevir city volleyball tournament dedicated to “November 8 – Victory Day” was held among female students of higher, secondary specialized, and vocational educational institutions at the sports hall of Mingachevir State University. The tournament was jointly organized by the Central Aran Regional Youth and Sports Department and Mingachevir State University.

The main objectives of the tournament were to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, ensure the productive use of their leisure time, increase girls’ interest in sports, strengthen friendly relations among teams, and widely promote the significance of Victory Day among youth.

During the two-day competition, girls’ teams representing various educational institutions competed in matches distinguished by their dynamism and the high level of preparation demonstrated by the teams.

According to the tournament results:

🥇 1st place – UGISM team

🥈 2nd place – MTC team

🥉 3rd place – MDU team

The winning teams were awarded cups, diplomas, and medals by the organizers.

This tournament held at Mingachevir State University made an important contribution to increasing female students’ interest in sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and more widely popularizing Victory Day among young people.
