Winners of the Regional Mathematics Olympiad for Mingachevir City Were Awarded at Mingachevir State University

On December 22, 2025, the final results of the Mingachevir city stage of the Regional Mathematics Olympiad among school students, jointly organized by Mingachevir State University and Techera, were announced and the winning students were awarded.

In the Mingachevir stage of the olympiad, which covered seven regions — the city of Mingachevir, Zardab, Kurdamir, Ujar, Agdash, Goychay, and Yevlakh — talented students from grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 of general education schools demonstrated their knowledge and skills by solving mathematical tasks of varying difficulty levels.

According to the final results of the olympiad, students from Mingachevir achieved the following results: Yusif Babayev won first place, Aylin Huseynova secured second place, while Gulay Zeynalli and Zahra Hasanova took third place.

In addition, Ali Gaziyev, Ilham Jumaliyev, Nazrin Mehdiyeva, Aylin Mirzali, Zeynab Sadiqzada, and Toghrul Alizade were awarded incentive prizes for their high achievements.

The winners and distinguished students were awarded diplomas and certificates. During the award ceremony, participants were wished success and confidence was expressed that they would continue their achievements in the future.

It should be noted that the main purpose of the Regional Mathematics Olympiad is to identify talented and knowledgeable students in the regions, develop their logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as support their targeted preparation for national-level olympiads. Such intellectual competitions make a significant contribution to strengthening the educational potential of the region and shaping young people in scientific fields.
