On December 26, 2025, a scientific-practical seminar titled “Sustainable Transportation: Realities and Perspectives” was organized by the Department of Mechanics of Mingachevir State University within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”

Opening the seminar, which was held in the small assembly hall of the university’s second academic building, Head of the Department of Mechanics Mahir Ismayilov provided information about the road and transportation infrastructure projects, road construction, and development works implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years. He also shared his views with the participants regarding existing problems and measures taken toward their solution.

Following the opening speech, presentations were delivered in accordance with the seminar program. Department lecturers Qaragöz Karimov presented on “The Impact of the Condition of the Automobile Fleet of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Traffic Safety and Measures Taken for Improvement,” Habil Ismayilzada spoke on “Measures Taken to Optimize Public Transportation in Urban Transport,” and Ali Gurbanov delivered a presentation titled “New Approaches to the Formation of Modern Transportation Systems in Azerbaijan.”

The presentations broadly discussed the importance of sustainable transportation, increasing traffic safety, improving the efficiency of public transportation, and the application of modern transportation approaches.

At the end of the seminar, discussions were held on the topic, and the questions of students and lecturers were answered by the presenters.

It should be noted that a series of events are being organized at Mingachevir State University within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty.”
