A competition on “Artificial Intelligence in Energy Operations” was held at Mingachevir State University

On October 18, 2025, a competition titled “Artificial Intelligence in Energy Operations” was held at Mingachevir State University (MSU), jointly organized by the Department of Energy Engineering and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies. The main purpose of the competition was to develop students’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the energy sector, as well as to stimulate their innovative and creative thinking.

Within the framework of the event, it was intended to reveal and further develop students’ ideas related to the application of digital solutions in the management of energy systems, as well as in energy production and distribution processes. It was noted that in the modern era, the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence–based solutions in the energy sector contributes significantly to more efficient management of energy resources and the formation of sustainable energy systems.

The competition provided an opportunity for students to present projects in areas such as the use of artificial intelligence–based technologies in the energy sector, increasing energy efficiency, developing smart energy management systems, and preparing forecasting models. The event was also of great importance in increasing young people’s interest in scientific research, strengthening the innovation environment within the university, and promoting modern digital approaches in the energy field.

Within the framework of the competition, participants presented artificial intelligence–based solutions in areas such as energy system operations, energy efficiency, smart energy management, and other related directions, demonstrating their innovative ideas. The presented projects reflected important approaches toward expanding digital transformation in the energy sector and applying modern technologies.
