How to apply
International students wishing to study at Mingachevir State University must apply directly from their home countries via https://portal.edu.az/.
To do this, they must register on the platform and upload the necessary documents to the system. If you have any questions regarding the application, you can contact the Office of International Cooperation of the University (iro@mdu.edu.az).
The tuition fee for admission to Bachelor and Master degrees range from 1200 to 2000 AZN. However, it is subject to changes in accordance with the decision of the University authority.

All necessary documents in another language must be translated into English by the official translation service and have a notary confirmation.
Visa / Migration
Mingachevir State University will send an Invitation Letter to successful applicants, which they will submit to the Embassy to apply for visa to Azerbaijan. It is mandatory for all students coming to Azerbaijan for a period longer than three months to obtain a student visa in the country of residence before travelling to Azerbaijan. Please check with the Azerbaijan Embassy for a full list of required documents. International students should obtain a student visa valid for 3 (three) months before their arrival. A month before the expiration of visa they will apply for a residence permit which will enable them to live in the country for a year. The Office of International Cooperation will assist you in receiving the residence permit (“migration card”).

Admission for Foundation Courses is held by the International Cooperation Office of MDU. Admission is available throughout the year. The tuition fee for Foundation Courses is 1200 AZN. It is subject to changes in accordance with the decision of University authority.
Prospective international students, who wish to study at MSU have to firstly apply MSU International Cooperation Office (iro@mdu.edu.az). After submitting proper documents, the student will be accepted to Foundation Courses of Mingachevir State University. They will be taught regular language courses. Applicants, who have completed Foundation courses successfully, will receive an official Certificate recognized by Ministry of Science and Education which enables them to apply for a degree to study throughout Azerbaijan.

The average cost of living in Mingachevir range from 400 to 450 AZN per month including accommodation, groceries, utilities and other expenses(transportation, social activities, etc.).

Health Insurance
MSU international team provides international students with proper assistance with regard to health insurance.
