A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Kapital Bank. Within the framework of this cooperation, the opening ceremony of the “Birbank Fintech” Laboratory was held at the university on September 9, 2025.

The event was attended by the Rector of MSU, Anar Eminov, and the Director of Kapital Bank’s Mingachevir branch, Səbuhi Muxtarov. During the ceremony, participants were introduced to the new laboratory, and the opportunities created to enhance students’ knowledge in the field of finance were highly appreciated. As part of the collaboration, Kapital Bank donated 20 laptops to the university.

Rector Anar Eminov noted that one of the university’s key priorities is to equip students with practical knowledge and skills for their future careers. He emphasized that the partnership with Kapital Bank directly supports this objective and will contribute to increasing students’ competitiveness in the labor market. The Rector also expressed his gratitude to the bank’s representatives for establishing the “Birbank Fintech” Laboratory, providing technical support, and creating internship opportunities for students.

In his speech, Səbuhi Muxtarov highlighted that supporting education and fostering innovative skills among young people are among the key directions of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy. He noted that the “Birbank Fintech” Laboratory will enable MSU students to gain practical knowledge in digital banking and financial technologies. This collaboration will also create new opportunities for the region and contribute to the professional development of young people.

Within the framework of the memorandum, it is planned that students studying in economics and finance-related fields at MSU will undertake internships at Kapital Bank. This initiative will allow students to enrich their theoretical knowledge with practical experience and gain direct insight into the real working environment of the banking sector.

It should be noted that the newly established “Birbank Fintech” Laboratory will enable students to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, adopt innovative approaches, and gain deeper expertise in modern financial technologies. This collaboration represents not only a new educational environment for MSU students but also a comprehensive platform supporting their confident transition into future careers.
