Training sessions on “Technology and Innovation” were held at the Mingachevir STEAM Center, organized by the Department of Information Technologies of Mingachevir State University (MSU). The main purpose of the training sessions was to enhance participants’ knowledge in the fields of technology and innovation, develop their digital skills, and contribute to their active participation in socio-economic development processes.
Within the framework of the training program, presentations on various topics were delivered. Fatima Aliyeva, a lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies of MSU, delivered a presentation titled “Digital Transformation and the Role of Technology in Poverty Reduction,” emphasizing the importance of modern technologies in improving social welfare.
Another lecturer of the department, Mahsati Aliyeva, presented on the topic “Future Skills and the Role of Digital Education in Shaping Social Welfare,” highlighting that the development of digital skills plays an important role in adapting to the labor market and fostering innovative thinking.
Saadat Aslanova, also a lecturer at the Department of Information Technologies of MSU, delivered a presentation on “Leadership Skills,” discussing the importance of developing leadership qualities in implementing teamwork and innovative initiatives in the modern era.
Rashad Guliyev, a trainer at the STEAM Center, delivered a presentation titled “STEAM Approach and the Innovative Entrepreneurship Model,” providing information about the contribution of the STEAM education model to the development of creative thinking, technological knowledge, and entrepreneurial skills.
Maleyka Mahmudlu, a student of the KM22 group at MSU, delivered a presentation titled “Programming and the Startup Ecosystem: The Role of IT and Programming in the Startup Ecosystem,” prepared under the supervision of Dinara Islamova. In her presentation, she highlighted the important role of information technologies in the formation of innovative business initiatives and the development of the startup ecosystem.
During the sessions, topics such as digital transformation, innovative technologies, leadership skills, the STEAM approach, and the role of information technologies in the development of the startup ecosystem were widely discussed, and participants’ questions were answered.
It should be noted that Mingachevir State University regularly organizes various trainings and awareness-raising events aimed at improving students’ digital skills, fostering innovative thinking, and promoting technology-oriented initiatives.
