On May 15, 2026, Mingachevir State University (MSU) will host the “Zero Carbon EcoFest” festival. The event, to be held in the city of Mingachevir, is considered one of the university’s key initiatives aimed at expanding its “Green Campus” approach and promoting the principles of sustainable development.
The primary objective of the festival is to reduce the campus carbon footprint, enhance environmental responsibility among students and staff, and promote sustainable lifestyles. This initiative contributes to the more systematic implementation of environmental management practices, efficient resource utilization, and modern green transformation approaches within the university.
Within the framework of the event, participants will benefit from awareness-raising activities focused on zero-waste principles, green energy solutions, water resource conservation, and climate change mitigation. Additionally, practical presentations, interactive sessions, and environmental initiatives are planned to further develop participants’ knowledge and skills.
“Zero Carbon EcoFest” will serve as an important platform for fostering an экологически responsible mindset within the university environment, promoting innovative and responsible approaches, and strengthening an activity model aligned with global sustainable development priorities.
Through such initiatives, MSU demonstrates that, beyond its academic mission, it actively contributes to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
It should be noted that the festival supports the expansion of activities carried out under the university’s “Green Campus” strategy and contributes to advancing development in line with internationally recognized sustainability practices.
