International Scientific Conference “Contemporary Issues in Language, Education, and Research”

On May 18-19, 2026, upon the initiative of the Department of Foreign Languages of Mingachevir State University, an International Scientific Conference titled “Contemporary Issues in Language, Education, and Research” will be held with the aim of developing academic cooperation between Mingachevir State University and Dokuz Eylul University, one of the prestigious higher education institutions of the Republic of Türkiye.

In the modern era, the discussion of scientific research conducted in the fields of language teaching, applied linguistics, educational technologies, academic writing, and research methodology, the exchange of academic experience, and the application of contemporary pedagogical approaches are of great importance. In this regard, the organization of this conference will serve as an important scientific platform for discussing актуal academic issues in higher education and strengthening international academic cooperation.

Academic staff representing higher education and research institutions, as well as doctoral students, dissertation candidates, master’s students, young researchers, and students are invited to participate in the conference.

Structure and Layout of the Article

Working language of the conference: English

Formatting requirements:

The text must be prepared in A4 format (210×297 mm) using MS Word, Times New Roman font size 12, line spacing 1.15, paragraph spacing 1.0 pt, and margins of 2.0 cm on all sides.

  • The length of the submitted material (article or thesis): 5-10 pages
  • Title of the article (uppercase, bold, centered, font size 12)
  • Author’s full name (initials and surname) (lowercase, bold, right-aligned, font size 12); after the title include academic degree, academic title, position (lowercase, right-aligned, font size 11); country, institution (in italics)
  • Email address, ORCID, mobile phone number
  • Keywords (5–7 words, font size 11) in two languages: English and either Azerbaijani or Turkish
  • Abstract (150–250 words, font size 11) in two languages: English and either Azerbaijani or Turkish

The reference list must be provided at the end of the article in alphabetical order (font size 12).

The inclusion of abstracts in the conference proceedings will be determined by the relevant sections. If necessary, abstracts will be revised based on reviewers’ comments and resubmitted. If comments are not addressed or materials are not submitted on time, the abstract will not be included in the conference proceedings.

Authors must submit a plagiarism report (from any anti-plagiarism software) together with their abstract. The similarity index must not exceed 25%.

Conference proceedings will be published collectively. Only one abstract per author (as author or co-author) will be accepted.
